From the moment I stepped into the Tea Party Social in the Stevenson Silverman Conference Room, I picked up on the air of family comfort that the PTAGS group shared. Path To A Greener Stevenson was founded and based in House 2, the Sustainability themed house (my house!). Together, the team has undertaken many hefty operations such as starting the Stevenson Garden in 2011, one of the first on campus. Also the ridding of paper towels in bathrooms movement was successful enough at Stevenson that it went campus wide last year. Their most recent venture is aimed at implementing the use of bamboo cutlery instead of the normal silverware used in the dining hall.
I was happily munching on lemon cookies and sipping chamomile tea with fellow PTAG-ers and newcomers who were also there for the Tea Party Social, or just to munch. The purpose of the social was to get more people interested or at least aware about the wonderful things PTAGS is doing! If you couldn’t make it to this festive gathering, Path To A Greener Stevenson holds meetings (welcome to anyone) every Wednesday night in the Stevenson, House 2 lounge.
